Shabri Women Development Centre Dang
Women’s health and development is one of the priorities of Gram Seva Trust. Hence we had started the Sangee Sanitary Napkin Project 6 years ago. Under this project rural women produce and sell eco- friendly and low cost sanitary napkins. Thus women earn their livelihood and at the same time rural women have easy access to low cost sanitary napkins. After successfully implementing this project in Navsari District, it was also started in Dang district this year. With the support of Manav Kalyan Trust, a Shabari Women Development Centre was started at Shivarimal village, Dang. Tribal women from surrounding villages, were taught to make and sell low cost sanitary napkins. We are thankful to Ganga Hansji Foundation for providing the sanitary napkin making machine. We hope that in future these women become successful entrepreneurs and Gram Seva is dedicated to accomplish this through various activities.
632 patients were checked at our free medical and surgical camp, organized at Khambla village in Vansda block on 8th October '23.
