Cervical cancer is a leading cause of cancer in women. Women come to the hospital for treatment at very late stages of cervical cancer. To increase awareness in women and promote early diagnosis and management of cervical cancer we have started cervical cancer clinics, with the support of Mangala Prem Trust and Mr. Rameshbhai Shah. The trust has donated instruments (clinic in a suitcase) for the diagnosis and management ( cryotherapy) of early cervical cancer in women. We have started weekly screening and management of cancer sessions in the hospital. We hope that this initiative increases awareness in women and decreases morbidity and mortality due to cervical cancer.
632 patients were checked at our free medical and surgical camp, organized at Khambla village in Vansda block on 8th October '23.
